Hayate and Nagi are excited about Hayate being qualified for Nagi’s school. However, Yukiji Katsura struggles to tell Hayate that he actually failed and that she was the indirect cause, having played pranks on him before the exam. She continually gets beaten by her little sister for skirting around the issue.
